Cyberpunk Tower

A browser-based infinite roguelike FPS built with TypeScript, Three.js, and ECS architecture

An infinite roguelike FPS in the browser, built with TypeScript, Three.js, and ECS — my first vibe coding experiment, made alongside Cline in VSCode.

Free to play online in your browser — no download needed.

Cyberpunk Tower gameplay: a neon sub-level lift screen offering three abilities — Sandevistan, Cyberdeck, and Berserk — over a dark corridor.

01 / The question

The goal

Before Cyberpunk Tower, I spent years creating Scratch games that taught me game logic fundamentals. But there's a fundamental difference between prototyping in an interpreted environment and architecting a real system that runs purely in your browser.

This was my first "vibe coding" project — where design intuition guides implementation, iteration happens faster without documentation burdens, and I trusted the toolchain to do the heavy lifting. Building alongside Cline in VSCode created an experimental space where creativity flows unimpeded by traditional engineering processes.

What I learned

  • The result: a game that feels alive — not because it was carefully documented or over-engineered, but because every system emerged from experimentation.

About the project

A browser-based infinite roguelike FPS built with TypeScript, Three.js, and modern ECS architecture. A client-side-only experience where 60 FPS action meets endless vertical progression. I experienced building a game with a new approach, where ideas flow before constraints are formally applied, and code emerges from design intuition rather than strict requirements.
